  INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTERS

2.5 Credits Semester Unweighted Prerequisite: None

This is a one-semester course that is for students with little computer background. Student will learn how to use the Macintosh and Windows operating systems to run programs, save files, create directories, back up data, and master other operating system functions. Skill areas to be investigated include word processing, databases, spreadsheets and multi-media presentations.

Project 2

The astronomy presentation
In this project you are to complete a slide show about the exploration of Mars or Saturn. Center the show on the Mars rovers or the Cassini spacecraft at Saturn. Use the notes function to write a script for each slide. (6 slide min.) Rubric

Project 3 Classroom presentation In this project you are to complete a slide show that teaches about something from one of your classes (Science, Art, English, History, Computers, Social Studies, Math).

Design the slide show as though you would be presenting this to the class. Don't read slides. Have PowerPoint generate notes for the class. (print outs) 5 slide min (D) 10=C, 15=Aor B.
